No. The thing that was disliked was the holier-than-thou comment about how people were not responding as desired. And the various accusations clearly have very little to do with the kind of wisdom and teachings that were attributed to Jesus. _________________ Government debt and deficits are robbing your children, your grandchildren, and your great-grandchildren. http://www.usdebtclock.org/ |

Not knowing the heart of those that reacted, it is clearly possible. How else can one justify the ad hominem and personally derisive replies to an original general comment not directed at anyone in particular?
Further, the argument that such personally derisive replies are a perfectly fine form of civil conversation on the pretext of laying total blame on the original non-personal comment, is in itself a potential form of bigotry toward Christianity and/or one or more of it's followers.
As is frequently evident, some anti-Christian folks seem to relish any perceived opportunity to go on the attack and unleash their disdain, anger and intolerance, rather than reasoned debate. One need go no further than some of these forum threads to see that.. but then that is the Restonweb we all have come to love is it not....

You've definitely got yourself a martyr syndrome. I have plenty of theist friends and family across the three major faiths. I don't have a problem with them or "hate them for loving Jesus".
I don't recall anyone on here, except maybe for Breed, having problems with Christian posters aside from Stix and overseer. I think even someone of limited intelligence could agree the problems on this thread started with your snarky comment about the other readers of the forum. You made it a point to cast aspersions at the rest of the board then you cried foul when someone stated an opinion, not an attack per se, about why they thought no one replied to YOU. It wasn't an anti-religious comment. it wasn't an anti-Christian comment. It was my honest opinion about why I thought no one replied.
And to my credit, I think you've really proven my point over and over again in this thread. |

Come on Harrison.. enough already.
The original flare up happened nearly 15 months ago and you are still on the case. I got your latest personals like calling me a religious "hypocrite" at least twice, and saying "I don't have any respect for you or your opinions", and "I'm disappointed your drivel has persisted on the forums for so many years ".
I surrender.. you win! Can we now move on?

| We can move on. I'll try to be more open-minded and tolerant with you in the future. |
