Here is a biblical premise, followed by a list of events. You decide whether they are mere coincidence. Israel is referred to as the "apple of God's eye".
[[ Zec 2:8 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye. ]]
The bible indicates that God set geographical boundaries for Israel for an everlasting possession. 1991 marks the beginning of the US pressuring Israel to concede land for 'alleged' peace.

observations FWIW:
#1 - Nov 1 1991 - USA TODAY runs two stories side by side --- one is the Madrid conference where we urged Israel to negotiate 'land for peace'..... the second story is that of "The Perfect Storm' which was a record breaker and ironicly damaged Bush's Kennebunkport home.

#2 - Aug24 1992 - Yitzhak Rabin meets with terrorist leader Yassir Arafat at the reuest of our president... that very day, hurricane Andrew set the record as the costliest hurricane in Fla history.

#3 - Precisely, during the dates of Pres Clinton's Camp David Summit where he urged Ehud Barak of Israel to surrender more land to the Palestinian authority, over 500,000 acres of American land was consumed by fire

#4 - May 4,2003 - Colin Powell meets with terrorist Hafez Assad and promises to include the Golan Heits as part of the 'alleged' "Road Map to Peace" plan ... That day began a series totaling 412 tornadoes in one week across America, this shattered the old record of only 177 in such a cluster.

#5 - From Aug 7-22, 2005, Jews were even forced to leave and give up Gaza..... During this time Condoleeza Rice tried to persuade Israel to give up even more than Gaza...... One day after the withdrawal bermuda made the announcement that the tropical depression we know as hurricane Katrina had formed and hit America 4 days later.
( ironicly, the timming of Katrina was just 3 days before there was supposed to be the annual "Gay Mardis Gras" in New Orleans in which their theme itself was also a biblical mockery in that the event was to be titled - "Jazz and Jezebels" ....guess God has a sense of humor too huh! )

This is not an exhaustive list. Should anyone be interested in further research as to the occurrences in nature and their correlation to American and world events, see whitehouse correspondent William Koenig's book, "Eye to Eye". Very interesting.

There is no provable correlation unless one believes there to be...

Yup, so true ... which is the crux of the issue.....

Either you believe God's word when it says that God will bless those nations which bless Israel - or you don't.....pretty simple. Spains downfall came after persecuting Jews - Hitler was on his way to world military dominance before he killed millions of Jews. America has always supported Israel and we became the most powerful nation that ever existed. Now we see errosion of our support growing annually and - interestingly, we find ourselves gradually loosing power on the world stage and we find ourselves in economic shambles.... The hands behind the scene are not always clearly visible.... but Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and most other founders also recognized it.
I merely pointed out some occurrences so you can take note and decide what correlation you wish to give it.

There are 3 major categories of violations of scriptural truths which will bring about the wrath of God.
#1 - Immorality
#2 - Idolatry
#3 - Mistreatment of Israel......

The currnet inning has America up at bat with 2 away, 2 strikes and the ball is in America's court - not Obama's. We already know the pitches he will swing at .... His voting record, speeches, and policies clearly define his batting style...

He supports homosexual preferencial treatment and abortion ( #1 above - steeeeeeeeeeeeee - rike 1 )

He demonstrates no allegience or worship of God. His actions suggest he worships power ( #2 above - steeeeeeeeeee - rike 2 )

He speaks of support of Israel yet condemns their actions as well as cozying up to Israel's enemies ( #3 above - continously saved by foul balls so far - but for how long.... the day he totally abandons Israel's plea for help, blatantly condemns them for actions they may take in their defense, or sides totally with her enemies [all terrorist arab nations] ..... it will be, for America - steeeeeeeeeeeee - rike 3 ! )

Keep your 'eye' on the ball America ! It is being thrown directly at the "Apple of God's Eye" !

Hitler was on his way to losing whether he killed Jews or not. He attacked too many big powers and spread his forces too thin on too many fronts. Your magical wish granting fairy didn't intervene.

Note; to the chagrin of Harrison and Breed..."magical wishgranting fairies" don't leave centuries of archeological trails pointing to their validity, nor are they the purveyors of a record of prophetic accuracy that blows away that of the revered humanistic soothsayer, Nostradamos.
................................................

Regarding Harrison and Breed - I will be happy to answer legitimate questions concerning your salvation or furthering a true understanding of scripture - otherwise I will enact the verses declaring that if your words are not received, shake the dust off your sandals and move on without looking back - you are on you own. The bible indicates that Christians, prophets, etc were sent to a hard hearted, stiffnecked, and obstinate people... and clearly indicates for us not to waste our time casting our pearls before swine.
Since I can't prohibit replies from either Harrison or Breed, I simply will not be responding to future replies of either until which time I can sense desire for an honest and open discussion of scriptural truths. Until such time as the Holy Spirit may fall upon either of these two gentlemen and they suddenly have a change (opening ) of their hearts, I suggest that they locate someone they look up to who fits their image of whatever it is that they worship - and simply worship them.... whether it be 'themselves, or whether that entity is human wisdom, wealth, riches and other manmade idols, or satan himself. It is truly a matter of your choice - a matter which apparently, doesn't matter or concern me as much as it apparently matters to you what I believe. Good luck.

Nostradamus was a devout Christian. You're right though, he didn't have any magical future sight. His "prophecies" are ridiculously vague left to be interpreted in just about any way a future reader chooses to interpret them. This is just like any other "prophet" you can name.

If you can prove any supernatural boogity boo then you should contact skeptic James Randi and collect your million dollar prize from his organization. If you can't, and I'm 100% confident that you can't, then perhaps you should rethink the nonsense you continually spout.

So if I understand correctly, you are saying that our corrupt leaders, who lie to us and do as they please, are planning this or that - not even against Israel, but trying to get the fighting to stop over there - and your terrorist diety is responding by once again directing destruction at other people, in order to let somebody know who is boss?

And you are saying that a peace effort yields immediate hurricane responses, yet Hitler was allowed to kill Jews by the millions for years, and only after years of this carnage did your terrorist diety act?

I'm pretty sure that somebody needs to rethink this. Indifferent divine loving rule by selective terrorism seems cognitively dissonant.

You're in violation of one of the main rules if you try to invoke your diety to do harm to others. If it is really a diety, you cannot control it to do your bidding or to use it in threats to make others do your bidding.

I can never understand why people who call themselves christians don't realize that the new testament of the bible exists.

It is difficult to believe that there are any 'of-age' Christians (Note; capital C) that do not realize that the New Testament (Note; capital N & T) exists. It is also difficult to believe that any intelligent person would make the assertion that there are, unless intended to be "mean spirited"... Wink

Maybe a little snarky, but not mean spirited.
As I'm sure you are aware, it was intended as a statement that some people tend to dwell on the Old Testament and fire and brimstone aspect of the Bible to make their points.
It seems that they almost ignore the whole general philosophy of the New Testament in that it teaches of a loving, vice vengeful, God.

Obama vs Netanyahu = Joplin --- in what, approx 48hrs ?

To Mr. Demontheses,
Please understand that in actuality, there is no difference in the general message throughout the entire bible including both old and new testaments.... the way of salvation per both sections is and has always been about faith in the one true God, the God of Israel. This is evidenced by the 4000 year history of how God dealt with, and is dealing with - and will continue to deal with Israel in order to demonstrate both His love and wrath. He is not finished with Israel yet. I recomend you study the, as of yet unfulfilled, prophecies for the nation of Israel because America is tied to them. You might not be able to save America but if you put your faith in Jesus Christ, the God of Israel, you can save yourself. It through the lessons of faith in God that Abraham, Joshua, David, the woman at the well and every major biblical character was either blessed or cursed regardless of whether in old or new testament. Many Jewish converts placed their faith in Jesus and it resulted in us having the church today through which God works, but according to the tea leaves, it will be very soon that God will bring the Jews to their modern version of the Red Sea crossing because He still has many plans for His chosen people and He still has a promise to them He can not break concerning that land he gave them.... they WILL get it, eventhough it will not be until the millenial kingdom. They still have to face their worse persecution ever under the antichrist - nevertheless, on the other side of that, they WILL get their land for 1000 years.

My father came from Joplin and I still have family there. As far as Christians go they're more like what a normal person would expect a Christian to be like as opposed to your Fred Phelps Lite version of a Christian. The fact that you'd even suggest Joplin is part of some divine wrath just makes you all that more pathetic. Please crawl back under the rock you come out from under.

There is no such thing as magic, wish-granting fairies. No matter how much you and other zealots wish there was. I hope some day you come to realize that you're just a hateful, prejudiced, ignorant, poor excuse of a man using poorly written fables to justify his hatred.
