The location is near the intersection of Lee Hwy (29) and Route 50. They opened another in Prince George's last month. It's one of two well known California hamburger chains, the other being In-n-Out.

I'm anxiously awaiting for the arrival of Fatburger, although I do like In-N-Out better. Don't hold your breath for an In-N-Out, however. They are all family-owned rather than franchises like Fatburger. The farthest east they are currently is Phoenix. Fatburger is a step in the right direction though!

I live in California part time. California has just about everything foodwise NoVa has and then some. California has several interesting food chains we don't. Food in this area just always seems so pedestrian and bland.

I wish California would send more of its burrito and taco stands this way.

Fatburger's burgers aren't as good as In-N-Out's, but their fries are better. Overall, they make a nice burger. Better than Five Guys. Be nice to have them in the area.

Has anyone heard anything new about the Fatburger in Fairfax? July is nearly complete and that location isn't even listed on their website.

It's supposed to take the location occupied by the Pizza Hut in that Borders Books Plaza at the corner of Lee Hwy and Route 50. If you do a search on Yahoo for Fatburger+Fairfax, the coming soon page for Fatburger shows up but there's no Fairfax, Va entry within the page.

There's supposed to be a Johnny Rockets coming out to Ashburn (Brambleton Town Center). I believe they have some downtown.

Thanks, Chester. I hope they do make it to Fairfax soon.

Regarding Johnny Rockets, it's not surprising one is coming to Ashburn since Redskins owner Daniel Snyder is involved in the ownership of that chain. I am a little surprised that there aren't more in this area, however.

There is a place called " Burger Counter" coming to the Reston town center. Its in the new South of Market buildings. Probably opening in the fall. Don't know how good it is.
