The Council for the Arts of Herndon invites you to the unveiling of two new murals, painted by Town residents and students, this summer!

New Outdoor Mural in Downtown Herndon - painted by recently retired Herndon High Art Teacher and Artist, Keith Naquin.

Meet the Artist – Keith Naquin - "Virginia Vistas" Mural, Sunday, June 24, 2012 5:00pm-6PM. The new mural “Virginia Vistas” commissioned by the Council for the Arts of Herndon is completed.

Join us on Sunday, June 24 from 5-6 pm to meet the artist, Herndon’s own, Keith Naquin and view the exquisite detail of this 93 foot long mural.

The mural is on the rear of the Horn Motor Building at 771 Elden Street, Herndon VA. Pictures are up on the CAH Facebook page and it is fabulous: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Herndon-Arts-Council/57440879858

New Indoor Tile Mural at the Herndon Community Center, painted by the talented Herndon High School Art Club and Art Honor Society, under the instruction of Art Teacher Wayne Zink

The Council for the Arts of Herndon will unveil and dedicate a new 23 foot long tile mosaic at the Herndon Community Center. This tile mosaic represents the nautical names used at the Indoor Swimming pool classes. Commissioned by the Council for the Arts, the artwork was done by the Herndon High School National Arts Honor Society.

The mural is located at the Herndon Community Center , 814 Ferndale Ave Herndon, VA 20170. The Herndon Town Council will accept this gift via resolution later this summer.

Both receptions are free and the public is invited to attend!

Hope you get a chance to stop by - it is quite the show stopper! In July, CAH will unveil an indoor tile mural at the Community Center and it too is awesome! The Town will receive this gift via resolution at the July public session and we should have pictures at the presentation as well.
